Christina Julien makes functional pottery under the brand Pas Mon Style, in Montréal, Québec. Her practice is an exploration of shapes and textures, and how we interact with objects around us. Pieces are designed to be mixed and matched to encourage conversation with the user. Designed with a minimalistic approach through a focus on bold lines and special details in finishings, Christina’s ceramic work is greatly informed by her background in fashion design and passion for pattern cutting. Christina works with porcelain and stoneware, and takes pride in customizing her own clays and glazes. The pottery wheel takes center stage as designs highlight the personal interaction with the ever-spinning wheel. Through movie recommendations, hypnotic process videos, and seasonal playlists, Pas Mon Style provides comfort and space to think, for curiosity, and reflection.
