Alex Simmons started Lana Del Clay in a Brooklyn home studio in the spring of 2020. Her work, ranging from purely decorative art to planters and smoking pieces, occupies a liminal space between aestheticism and functionality. She employs both dreamlike abstraction and a sense of solidity in her designs, evoking her own retro-futurist universe by experimenting with color, texture, and shape. Currently, you can find her work on display in Antler Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
